"Moving a fish tank, a grumpy cat and a BIG spider"
My husband and I had been living in a furnished house in NSW and were moving to Brisbane. We didn't have that many items and a friend was going to bring up the remainder of our stuff in his ute. So on the day of the move my little coupe was groaning under its load. In the back seat was my pie eyed Siamese who complained all the way, even though he had been sedated. If you have been in a car with an unhappy noisy Siamese, you will understand.
My husband chose to drive and I sat in the front passenger seat with a fish tank (complete with water and Fish - his idea, not mine) wedged between my knees. In case anything happened to the fish tank two pillows were placed up next to the dashboard. In effect I couldn't move.
About half way through the drive I felt something on my shoulder and to my horror saw a HUGE spider crawling down my arm and then onto one of the pillows in front of me. I shrieked, but was unable to move. Husband pulled over (on Cunningham's gap!) and I threw the spider and pillow into the abyss. Relieved I got back into the car and we set off again. Ten minutes went by and then I saw on inside of the windscreen a very groggy spider minus two legs. It was too much. We screeched to a stop and I brought the spider's life to an end.
At the end of the journey, the water in the fishtank had receded considerably; my Siamese was really pissed off; and I was in a state of extreme agitation. That night in our new home my husband made the mistake of grumbling that I had thrown his pillow away. Fortunately, I was too tired to exact an appropriate punishment on him. Moral : don't carry pillows near you.
